MVP ZONE

Thank you for choosing Rebecca Danielle portraits!

Welcome to your MVP Banner experience

I'm so thrilled about us working together and look forward to document the one (or many) extra curricular activities that you have dedicated most of your high school career to. I truly believe that every high school senior deserves the best experience capturing who they are and what they love, and it starts here! With over 5 years of working with high school seniors and 10+ years as a professional Photographer. I Have found that The experience of being photographed is just as important as the quality of work you are paying for. I love a good celebration, and this one is just getting started!

This is your exclusive pass into my world, and what you can expect while we work together. From timelines, to how to make this process as smooth as possible. I'm here for you! I hope this page can help answer any questions you might have, and ease your mind about this process. LETS' GET READY TO RUMBLE!

THE TIMELINE

WHAT TO EXPECT

STEP 1:

SET THE DATES

Sports/activities photos will take place the summer going into your senior year. "Crazy, I know!" I will ask you at our initial phone call if your student is taking any vacations so that I can plan my best around your busy summer schedules.

The first student I schedule with per sport will chose the date during our Creative Consult in the winter/spring months of your Junior year.

with a very tight schedule myself, There will be one date set for all students involved in the activity. No guarantee on a make-up day if you can't make it. (sickness, or act of god will be the only reason we reschedule an individual.)

STEP 2:

COMMUNICATE WITH COACHES

contact your coaches as soon as possible, so that we do not have a conflict.

You are responsible for getting us into the school, access the equipment and uniforms.

(in large group situations, I might have one person spearhead this, so that we do not overwhelm your hard working coaches and staff)

STEP 3:

GAME TIME!

Sessions can last between 1.5- 2.5 hours (depending on the amount of students and cooperation). We'll take a few "Banner only photo set ups." This requires more then one lighting set up, so there will be bits of down time while each set up is done.

If time permits we can do some unique photo set ups, and maybe group photos.

Please be on time and ready to be photographed. I promise it's a fun and painless process if you let it. If you're not having fun, I'm not doing my job!

STEP 4:

GALLERY DELIVERY

within a 1-2 weeks you should get your photos delivered in a High resolution gallery for you to download and order prints from.

This will be the gallery I will refer to when I ask you to choose your favorite photos. This will help me choose the photos for you banner!

Step 5: Choose your banner photos!

Using the "heart" (or favorite) Icon in your gallery, Choose One "main photo." Then choose up to 3 "action shots" per sport.

Once you have chosen your epic photos, send me text and let me know you are done.

STEP 6: Banner Delivery

I do My best to get everyone their banner before their first home game. Because I outsource my printing, That isn't always the case.

As soon as they are finished and picked up, I will send you a text to decide the best way to deliver it to you. I am just as excited to see them in person as you are!

DAY OF SESSION CHECKLIST

  1. De-wrinkle and hang uniform – The night before your session, make sure your clothes are laid out and wrinkle-free. THEN, HANG YOUR UNIFORMS!!
  2. UNDERGARMENTS: Nobody wants to receive their photos only for attention to be immediately drawn toward a stray bra strap or underwear line. Carefully choose your undergarments to suit your uniform ahead of time, and make a shopping trip if you need to. Gentlemen: Pack a cup
  3. PROPS/ ATHLETLIC GEAR: Last thing we need is a missing soccer ball at your soccer sportrait session, or a football to your Football photos (Trust me it has all happened) Make sure your coaches give you access to your gear locker. That will save us all from having to reschedule or delay our sessions.
  4. Grooming– I'm going to get "REAL" right now, no one wants an over sized version of themself immortalized on a banner with an untamed Speedo/ Bikini Line. Please don't assume photoshop can fix that either (its uncomfortable for us all around). Be nice to your photographer and make sure you shave before your session. Not just for swimmers. Boys make sure your face is at your preferred liking.
  5. To avoid photos memorializing the color stains on your forehead or a haircut you hate, schedule any hair appointments two weeks before your shoot. Men can usually get away with a cut a couple of days beforehand, but I would recommend allowing for a little time just in case.
  6. PACK SNACKS: We will be working with lots of action shots, and we don't usually get the shot we need in one take. These sessions do last about 2 hours. Being hangry isn't going to help any of us when it's hot or your waiting your turn. Bring some snacks and a water bottle.

BONUS:

  • Be Ready to work: No one likes a negative Nancy. I get being shy when I ask you to step up, that's fine! I will photograph those who want to go first, no problem! Please know the less photos your take, the less options you have to choose from, when it comes to your banner photos I will not force you to take photos. Negativity spreads like the plague, please keep your negative thoughts to yourself, or that attitude can spread to your teammates, Making everyone else uncomfortable.
  • Get some sleep, stay hydrated, eat before your go and lets have a great time!

By following these 5 simple guidelines, you can set yourself up for a stress-free, Sportrait session filled with confidence and laughter, and Epic photos you don't get at your basic School media day.
